Pennine's Cakes stretch to Cheshire

2nd May 2011
Pennine Country Market has begun to export across the hills to Cheshire. They have captured a market for their delicious range of cakes from Bents in Glazebury. Bents have recently been recognised by the Garden Centre Association as ‘The Destination Garden Centre in the UK 2011'. This completed a hat trick of wins for Bents since 2009.
Janine Lishman-Peat, the South Yorkshire Chairman, baked her largest order to date. She personally made 68 of the 174 cakes delivered which she said nearly killed her. To stimulate the taste buds, she also managed to stand all one Monday handing out samples to promote the South Yorkshire treats - they went like hot cakes!

It's not all missionary work for Pennine across the hills, their cakes and preserves are also now making an appearance at Godfreys Garden Centre which is closer to home at Aston near Sheffield. Godfreys have just opened a new Coffee Shop.
